Happy New Year to all of you!
Is it me, or did this holiday season feel a bit more crazy than normal? Just when we thought we were getting out of Covid, Covid pulls us back in. DAMN YOU OMICRON!!!
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, life goes on, as they say. We WILL get through this.
And with that said...
As the year and holiday season begin to fade behind us, I want to wish each and every one of you lots of light and well balanced compositions in the new year.
It’s been a good year at Bradley Photographic in the new location, despite the ongoing challenges. We’ve settled well into our new gallery and expanded print lab, and our more visible location has allowed many new people to find us. I'm feeling lucky, and owe much of it to my talented and amazing crew: Joe Platko and Effie Benjamin. Thanks you two!!
In other news, just before midnight on New Years Eve, I received a negative Covid test result, which is a green light for our winter Africa Expedition to Kenya. I’m leaving Monday with a group or 12, and I am terribly excited. Ironically, I believe it will be safer and less Covid-y were I'm going. Our destination, the Masai Mara, is in the middle of nowhere, we're going to be outside the whole time, all the staff at the resorts are vaccinated and take precautions, and I'll just be less worried there than here. Can't wait! Pics to come. Promise.
And you? What adventures do you have planned? I want to know.
Wherever next year may take you, bring a camera, be creative, have fun, and to hell with Covid and all the craziness. We can let our circumstances shape us, or we can shape our circumstances.
Here's to a positive, fruitful, and joyous new year.
Stay playful, stay outside, I love you all, and wish me luck in Africa.
